13 Year Old Schoolgirl Hidden Camera Victim Poughkeepsie New York
A former Our Lady of Lourdes High School employee was sentenced to four months in jail and 10 years probation after pleading guilty to placing a hidden camera in the bedroom of a 13-year-old schoolgirl, Dutchess County Court said.
Jeffrey McCoy, 50, of LaGrangeville pleaded guilty to second-degree unlawful surveillance, a felony.
He was arrested in November of 2011 after his live-in girlfriend contacted police after discovering McCoy placed a hidden camera in her daughter’s bedroom, according to Journal archives. The court said McCoy admitted to putting a pen camera in the child’s bedroom to enable him to inappropriately watch her and used it for sexual gratification, the court said.
Judge Stephen L. Greller found that jail was inappropriate because McCoy failed to grasp the impact his actions had on the victim, the court said. An order of protection was filed against McCoy, who was fined $1,425, and a conduct hearing will occur upon his release since he is required to register as a sex offender.
