23-Aug-2010 – A 54-year-old Marion County man was arrested after authorities discovered a hidden camera containing hundreds of images of people using his bathroom, officials said Monday.

Edward John Phillips of Reddick faces two counts of video voyeurism, with one count involving a juvenile.

Officials said he used a “game” camera, which is designed to take pictures automatically when it detects movement.

It was hidden inside the bathroom closet facing the toilet and had more than 300 photographs of various individuals.

There were also images of Phillips setting up or adjusting the camera.

A victim found and reported the camera to Marion County Sheriff’s deputies, who interviewed and later took the man to jail.

Bond is set at $2,500.
