A 21 year old undergraduate who took a taxi ride noticed something strange between the seats. She had seen similar devices on the internet and suspected it was a spy pen camera. The cab driver had placed the spy pen on the arm rest so it was pointing at her legs, and the victim suspected the driver 54 year old Albert Lim Meng was trying to film an upskirt video
The now X cab driver, pleaded guilty to insulting her modesty and that of two other women in April and June 2009 by filming their panties. He will be sentenced next Friday on Jan 14.

Two more charges of filming two other victims will be taken into consideration by the judge when passing sentence.

The court heard that the undergraduate remained calm and did not confront Lim during the taxi ride on the morning of June 30, 2009. Instead, she took spy pictures of the spy camera pen with her mobile phone. She later showed these to police officers who found the spy pen camera in Lim’s apartment in a Pasir Ris condominium the same day.

Five upskirt video clips were found stored on it by officers of the technology crime forensic branch of the Criminal Investigation Department.

Albert Lim Meng could face 9 months in jail, a sentence handed out to Soo Ee Hock last month for filming 12 upskirt videos.
